Fell & Sell Shop Comfort and Customer Flow

Improve Fell & Sell shop comfort without relying on fake thresholds: observe customer movement, reduce friction, and separate comfort changes from price tests.

Ver. 1.4.3 named baseline · Official-source review 2026-09-19 · Newer public update: September 18

Quick answer

The reviewed official sources do not publish a comfort score formula, radius or cap. Check any comfort value shown in your own save before and after a furniture change. Customer navigation is a separate operating concern: clear routes help customers reach stock, but do not prove that aisle width changes a comfort score.

What is verified

  • Decoration is officially connected to pricing conditions.
  • Furniture can support shop appeal as well as combat.
  • No official comfort radius, score formula, or perfect layout is published.

What changed recently

September 4 made shop furniture a physical navigation obstacle and separated full-queue complaints from price complaints. Ver. 1.4.3 refined queueing and choosing an accessible ground-floor counter.

Read the dated update timeline
01

Start with movement, not decoration count

A shop cannot benefit from a dense display if customers or the player struggle to reach it. Preserve a clear entry path, a legible route between displays, and enough room to restock without turning every sale into a collision.

The Shop Update confirms that blocked customers can stop and report they cannot get through. Observe the route from entry to merchandise and counter, and separate a blocked aisle from a full checkout queue. These checks improve flow without claiming that path width is a hidden comfort formula.

02

Give every fixture a purpose

Classify furniture by the job you can verify: selling capacity, decoration or prestige support, operational organization, or combat benefit. Place the highest-value jobs first and leave decorative density for the space that remains.

Do not assume two similar fixtures stack identically unless the game exposes it or testing confirms it. Record bonuses before and after placement, and keep unknown behavior labeled rather than turning it into an exact guide claim.

03

Re-test after expansion

A larger shop changes walking distances and sightlines. Rebuild the main route before copying the old layout outward, then run a short observation session with prices held stable.

In a multi-floor property, watch whether an active ground-floor counter is used. Ver. 1.4.3 fixed unnecessary trips upstairs, so a repeated current detour deserves build and layout evidence. Test prices separately once the route works; moving decorations and prices together obscures the cause of any improvement.

Outdated advice to avoid

A packed floor plan is no longer harmless to customer movement. A clear route is an operating requirement, but it does not establish an undisclosed comfort radius, cap or price coefficient.

Frequently asked

Questions about fell and sell shop comfort

Is there a maximum comfort score?

The official sources reviewed September 19 do not give a universal comfort cap or formula. Customer navigation fixes explain clear-path requirements, not a numeric comfort threshold.

Does more furniture always help?

No; additional furniture can obstruct movement or consume space, so place it for a known job and observe customer flow afterward.
