Fell & Sell Inventory Sorting Guide

Use Fell & Sell inventory sorting after the August 31 update, separate loot by purpose and prepare supplies for the current Dungeon Update combat rules.

Ver. 1.4.3 named baseline · Official-source review 2026-09-19 · Newer public update: September 18

Quick answer

Automatic inventory sorting has been available since the August 31 update through a single-button action. Use the current inventory prompt for your input device, then decide which items are equipment, crafting reserves, sale stock or deconstruction candidates. Sorting organizes a haul; it does not make those value decisions or guarantee a particular item-priority order.

What is verified

  • Automatic inventory sorting shipped August 31, 2026.
  • The announcement does not publish a universal keyboard or controller sort binding.
  • Consumables now have use animations that prevent attacking while eating or drinking.

What changed recently

September 18 adds Unholy Skulls and new upgrade needs, while healing and food use take time. Review supplies and material reserves under those current rules.

01

Find the sort action in the current inventory

The August 31 announcement confirms automatic sorting with one button press, but does not state a single binding that covers every input device. Follow the inventory prompt shown in your current game and check controls if you have changed bindings.

The sort algorithm, category order and whether every storage interface supports the same action are not fully described in the reviewed notes. Inspect the result where you use it rather than assuming sorting will place your strongest gear or most valuable item first.

02

Give each part of a haul a purpose

Editorial routine after organizing: compare equipment with what you currently use, reserve materials for a specific craft, identify replaceable sale stock and review unwanted crafted items for deconstruction. Use actual item information instead of the position assigned by sorting.

Keep a small, deliberate reserve for items whose use is still uncertain. The Sell or Keep tool can help compare your own cash need and replacement difficulty, while the Deconstruction guide covers partial material recovery introduced by Shop Update.

03

Prepare supplies before the next room

The September 18 Dungeon Update makes potion and food use trigger an animation during which you cannot attack. An organized inventory helps you check supplies before entering a room, but it does not remove that consumption time.

Review the consumables you intend to use and the input prompts for your setup before combat. The update also gives Unholy Skulls an explicit gear-upgrade purpose, so review those alongside other materials before converting an entire haul into shop stock.

04

Keep sorting, collection and storage safeguards separate

Auto pickup was added August 27; inventory sorting followed August 31. One collects items and the other organizes them. Neither announcement says these features automatically decide what is safe to sell or which recipe ingredients to retain.

The August 31 update also adds storage-chest safeguards. If something appears missing, note whether it happened during collection, sorting, storage or a scene transition. Those details are more useful for a report than assuming all inventory problems share the same cause.

Outdated advice to avoid

Manual rearrangement is no longer the only organization option. Sorting is not the same as auto pickup, an item-value ranking or protection against selling a needed ingredient.

Frequently asked

Questions about fell and sell inventory sorting

What is the inventory sort key?

The official announcement confirms a single-button sort action but does not name a universal binding. Use the current inventory prompt for your keyboard or gamepad setup.

Does sorting put the best or most expensive item first?

No such ranking rule is verified in the reviewed notes. Check item stats and observed selling values yourself; a sorted position is not evidence of combat or sale value.
