Fell & Sell Save System

Understand Fell & Sell save repairs, legacy-demo compatibility, special-room and furniture fixes, with next steps for backups and recovery problems.

Ver. 1.4.3 named baseline · Official-source review 2026-09-19 · Newer public update: September 18

Quick answer

Fell & Sell's save system received automatic repair and recovery features in Ver. 1.1.2, special-room and furniture safeguards in 1.1.3, and an older 1.4.0 demo-save loading fix in 1.4.3. These fixes address specific failures; they do not guarantee every damaged save can be recovered. Preserve a backup before recovery work and identify the affected save's origin.

What is verified

  • Ver. 1.1.2 introduces automatic recovery and repair for several save failures.
  • Ver. 1.1.3 can move previously lost furniture into the Construction Chest.
  • Ver. 1.4.3 targets loading issues from the older 1.4.0 demo.

Version-aware guidance

What changed recently

The September 7 1.4.3 patch fixes older 1.4.0 demo-save loading. Earlier automatic repair and furniture safeguards remain relevant history, with their original patch dates retained.

01

What automatic recovery can address

Ver. 1.1.2 converts saves incorrectly associated with the MainMenu scene to Main, attempts to recover empty saves from the last valid data, and repairs broken elements in corrupted saves. The same patch updates older save logic and fixes shrine progress persistence.

These are developer-described recovery paths for specific data problems. They do not establish how many backups exist, their interval, or a guaranteed result for an arbitrary corrupted file. Check the loaded progress rather than assuming that a successful load restored every item.

02

Furniture and dungeon-room persistence

Ver. 1.1.1 addresses house contents disappearing after a dungeon or forest trip. Ver. 1.1.3 fixes special dungeon rooms reloading and adds a furniture safety net, especially for saves coming from 1.1.0 or earlier: previously lost pieces may be placed in the Construction Chest.

The August 31 update adds storage-chest safeguards. If furniture appears missing, inspect the Construction Chest and record what remains missing, where it was placed and which transition preceded the problem. A documented safeguard is a useful check, not proof that every current report has the same cause.

03

Identify demo and older-version saves

Ver. 1.4.3 specifically fixes loading failures for progress from the older 1.4.0 demo. That narrow compatibility note is useful when deciding whether a report concerns migration, ordinary autosaving or a later gameplay bug.

Before attempting recovery, record whether the character began in the demo or full game, the approximate original version and the installed build now. Use the Save File Location guide for the documented location and the Save Recovery guide for the bounded recovery workflow.

04

Preserve evidence before trying a recovery

Editorial backup practice: close the game before copying the relevant save files to a separate location, and keep an untouched copy while checking recovery options. Avoid repeated overwrites of the only remaining file while investigating a failed load.

For a report, capture the error or stuck screen, the last action before saving, save origin and current version. Automatic save timing, every cloud-sync conflict scenario and the recovery success rate are not specified by the reviewed announcements, so this guide does not invent those guarantees.

Outdated advice to avoid

Do not describe launch save loss as inevitable on today's build, promise complete recovery, or recommend deleting a save before preserving the original files.

Frequently asked

Questions about fell and sell save system

Where should I look for furniture restored by the save fix?

The 1.1.3 notes identify the Construction Chest as the destination for previously lost furniture recovered by its safety net, particularly for upgrades from version 1.1.0 or earlier.

Does updating guarantee recovery of a corrupted save?

No. The developer introduced automatic repair and last-valid-data recovery for specific problems. Preserve the affected files, update appropriately and check the actual recovered progress.
